The Matchmove Artist will track cameras, objects and characters to plate in order to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX.

Main responsibilities:

• Capture and track camera movements ;
• Reproduce the movements of objects or characters ;
• Develop solutions for the tracking of 3D cameras and solve problems that may arise ;
• Generate base geometry from tracking when lidars are unavailable ;
• Work closely with the CG and Matchmove Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches that enhance shots, while meeting project specifications and deadlines ;
• Participate in the development of setups for the different stages of production in 3D and solve potential problems ;
• Determine the best possible creative techniques and approaches in collaboration with the CG Supervisor, the Matchmove Supervisor or the Matchmove Lead ;
• Keeps colleagues and production informed of the status of work, issues to be resolved, ramifications of problems encountered ;
• Respect deadlines by managing time adequately.

• Experience in a similar position, within the VFX industry ;
• Good knowledge of 3DEqualizer, Nuke and Maya software ;
• Basic knowledge of photography and cinematography language ;
• Basic knowledge of onset data wrangling and reality capture ;
• Excellent sense of prioritization and respect of deadlines.
