Bay Avenue Dental is a small business in Trail, BC V1R 4A5. The city of Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the West Kootenay region of BC with a population of 8250. Our dental office was completely rebuilt in 2014 and continues to invest in the most advanced technology to facilitate the best delivery of dental care for patients and staff alike. The treatment rooms are top of the line with comfortable chairs, digital radiography and cameras, dual screen computer monitors , and electric handpieces. The sterilization area is streamlined to minimize hands on equipment processing, has multiple sterilizers to reduce sterilization downtime. The office continues to grow as families relocate to the area and look for dental care delivered in a modern, clean and friendly environment. As clinicians we strive to continue our dental education by learning new clinical skills and techniques and adapt to the changing needs of our patients.

The Certified Dental Assistant will have a range of duties and responsibilities including hands on patient care assisting with clients of all ages. Specific training will be provided for the additional expanded responsibilities including the fabrication of 3D printed study models, Essix retainers, occlusal splints, and porcelain and zirconia crowns and bridges. The experienced dental team will also provide support and assist as you grow in the role. Your hard work will be appreciated each and every day by paients, staff team members and the dentists who share the same passion.

We are searching for a Certified Dental Assistant who is self-motivated, outgoing and loves meeting new people. You must be certified as a dental assistant in British Columbia, or eligible for immediate licensure having graduated from an accredited college. Alternately, you are eligible to apply if you are currently pursuing certification through the BC Dental Association's dental assistant training. We will support your training and skills development practically and financially.

The position is full time flexible for four or five days per week with generous holiday compensation and vacation time. The days are eight hour work days with no evenings or weekends.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
