ABOUT THE ROLE


We’re looking for a Full Stack Drupal Developer to join the Digital Convergence! In this role, you’ll get the chance to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders.


As a Full Stack Drupal Developer, you'll direct and improve best practises, architect code, collaborate on large scale platform development and support a growing small-medium businesses. You will have the ability to be active in all aspects of the delivery lifecycle of the project and collaborate with other individuals to clarify how potential approaches relate to the broader business goals.

ROLE SPECIFICS


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Architect, create, debug, and enhance web-based platforms
  • Build and integrate websites, components, modules, and third-party applications
  • Write well designed, testable, and efficient code following software development best practices
  • Create website layouts and user interfaces using industry best practices
  • Integrate data from various backend services and databases
  • Work closely with the project team across all disciplines to analyze and understand user needs, to implement website content, graphics, performance, and capacity
  • Provide input to the creative team during the design stage to reflect proper interactive capabilities, UX, CMS functionality, and other technical considerations
  • Participate in regular project stand-ups, sprint reviews and other ceremonies.
  • Participate in and/or conduct code reviews
  • Proactive in nature, identifying the risks, issues and improvement opportunities, and communicate through appropriate channels
  • Take on a leadership role in development teams.
  • Mentor and participate in the continued growth and development of other team members – intermediate and junior team members.
  • Responsible for contributing to the central pool of technical knowledge and sharing of best practices with other team members.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Web Developer with explicit Drupal 8+ development experience. Only candidates who meet this requirement will be considered.
  • Extensive Drupal module and library development experience (building custom modules, theming, etc).
  • Experience with MySQL required.
  • Experience with Javascript technologies required.
  • Knowledge and working experience of automated testing – unit testing, functional and behavioural testing.
  • Knowledgeable about other technologies and able to suggest integration solutions. Capable of speaking about cross-platform integrations with Drupal and other technologies in a digital ecosystem.
  • Knowledge and experience in the complete end-to-end delivery lifecycle for large-scale Drupal application builds.
  • The ability to communicate to project managers, business stakeholders and external individuals about project and delivery statuses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and broad knowledge of web development techniques and principles
  • The ability to work across multiple projects without compromising quality or delivery milestones.

NICE-TO-HAVE:


  • Experience working with and the configuration of CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with Storybook integrations, NodeJS.
