CropVue Technologies is an agriculture technology company that builds remote cellular IoT devices that operate in crop fields to measure weather and pest pressure. The data is sent to a cloud platform where AI analytics are used to build key insights and deliver real-time information to growers to help improve crop yields.

Cropvue Technologies is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer to join our team who can effectively work remotely as a key contributor in a rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate will have proven skills in combining Vue-based Javascript web applications with backend AWS data feeds to deliver visually appealing, user-friendly, mobile SPA web applications that are used by Ag professionals to help sustain and grow food. From the back-end cloud environment to an exciting mobile UX web application, you will develop a seemless experience for growers that deliver data from remote IoT hardware to a high level picture of what is happening with pest activity in various crop fields. This picture is often driven by a map view of a grower's property with overlays indicating status of pest pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a high-quality, visually engaging, single page application using Vue and Quasar frameworks with a focus on map-driven visualization (eg., Google Map component)
  • Work with the senior team on new features and visual design/layout to ensure an intuitive and easy to use experience for Ag professionals
  • Develop and support the back-end on AWS cloud services including Cognito, Dynamo DB, S3, Lambda, EFS, etc.
  • Integrate and support a number of data-driven APIs for weather, satellite imagery, etc.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Test, debug, and deploy web applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience with a focus on mobile usage (touch screens, various responsive layouts)
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web development technologies and trends

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in web and cloud development
  • Proven experience in Vue 3 development
  • Experience using the Quasar framework
  • Excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies such as Google Maps, Axios, and various component libraries
  • Familiarity with AI technologies such as Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch with a focus on cloud deployment and maintenance
  • Experience integrating APIs and services into web applications
  • Experience using Git, npm/webpack, Node.js, and Visual Studio Code
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong documentation and planning skills
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work from high level concepts and coordinate effectively with remote team members

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: From $85,000.00 per year
