We are looking for a Site Inspector with experience . This is a perfect opportunity for a talented professional to take the next step in their career, joining our Design Team in taking on technical challenges and working on a variety of projects.

Responsibilities

As an Urbantech Site Inspector you will be responsible for:

Ÿ Perform full time or part time site supervision during all construction stages.

Ÿ Provide detailed daily reports of construction activity.

Ÿ Site inspections.

Ÿ Plot plan review.

Ÿ Progress Payment certificate approval.

Ÿ Participate in site meetings.

Ÿ Assisting with cost estimates.

Ÿ Contract and tender preparation.

Ÿ Perform quantity takeoffs.

Other duties may be assigned depending on what is needed to complete our commitments.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a college diploma or accredited university degree, with a focus on construction / municipal engineering;
  • C.E.T. and/or P.Eng. designation or eligibility for future designation upon completion of satisfactory work experience;
  • 1+ years of construction on municipal projects including roads, utilities, and subdivisions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software including Excel, Teams, etc.;
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply design standards and guidelines;
  • Ability to work well within a dynamic team of engineers and technologists as well as working under limited supervision;
  • Proficiency with reading, analyzing, checking engineering drawings;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction and correspondence with design team and clients;
  • Eager to learn and take on new challenges, with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed;
  • Knowledge of GIS, surveying, and the land development process is an asset;
  • Stormwater management design experience including hydraulic and hydrologic modelling is a strong asset.
