Job Description

Overview:

The Coordinator, Training and Protocols acts as an Ambassador for Regal Security Inc. (hereafter “Regal”) by ensuring Regal’s security programs are properly supported from a training perspective that delivers excellent service and client satisfaction. The primary responsibility of this role will be to execute all Regal Training programs and ensure they are planned and executed properly.


Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop training modules, lesson plans and materials including but limited to New Employee Orientation, FIrst Aid/CPR, Use of Force Training etc.
  • Develop testing strategies for candidates in all training modules and ensure they are administered in a way that demonstrates knowledge and skill from the candidate.
  • Complete the 40 Hours Ontario Security Guard Ministry training to generate revenue and candidates. Separate course modules in order to facilitate individual training sessions as required.
  • Develop training material feedback and instructor evaluation for students to complete and document.
  • Attend Regal offices, work site, online seminars to provide individualized of group training
  • Manage that staff training certifications are updated in required softwares and hardcopies supplied to HR for employee file
  • Attend Regal sites to review current site protocols and gather information
  • Create and issue training certificates to successful trainees
  • Update employee profiles on required Regal systems for training certifications
  • Review Use of Force Incidents to ensure proper use of force techniques were applied and provide reports on their performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Valid Ontario G Class Driver’s license with minimal infractions.
  • A proven background of 3 years experience in a security leadership role.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong written communication skills and document preparation.
  • Obtain and maintain Trainer certifications that are pertinent to Regal’s business as required (examples: First Aid, Use of Force etc)


The Ideal Candidate will possess:

  • A university degree in business or equivalent qualification is recommended.
  • Valid Security License, Valid First Aid / CPR Certification, & WHMIS Certification.
  • Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Strong investigation, research and strategic analytical skills.
  • Strong administration, project management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Adapts well to challenges and works well under pressure.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency required, with good working skills in Apple products, Microsoft Office and Google.
