The Yard team at Beyond Curb Appeal provides knowledgeable, friendly service to customers, ensure efficient and accurate deck package completion and inventory management in a fast paced, busy environment. This schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday weekly.

What You Will Achieve In This Role

The Yard Laborer will be responsible for assisting customers with loading and unloading materials, building customer orders, organizing and maintaining the yard, and providing general support to other staff members as needed. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker who is reliable, efficient, and safety-focused.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with loading and unloading materials, such as lumber, composite decking and materials, railing, and other building supplies.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other equipment as necessary to move and transport materials throughout the yard.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the yard, including sweeping, and debris removal, demonstrating pride in the appearance of our store.
  • Accurately build orders and receive inventory.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse, construction, or outdoor labor role is preferred.
  • Must have experience operating forklifts and have a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be willing to work in all types of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Numerical literacy and ability to do simple mental math is required (counting in patterns, addition and subtraction).

Contract length: 5-6 months

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
