Coffee News is growing and is looking for a full-time Account Manager to join the team. If you enjoy speaking with clients on the phone, networking and meeting new people, as well as helping businesses grow, this is the perfect position for you!

What You’ll Do:
The Account Manager is responsible for selling advertising campaigns that meet client needs in our Coffee News® publication.The Account Manager will support existing clients and prospective new clients across Northern Alberta through direct leads and sourcing. The ideal candidate is a great listener, highly motivated, results-oriented, and understands that building genuine relationships with clients is the key to closing a sale.

  • Manage current customer accounts by regularly reviewing their campaigns and active advertisement goals and suggesting ways to enhance their effectiveness.
  • Expedite client requests and assist with inside sales to deliver top-notch customer service.
  • Drive new business growth by prospecting and cultivating new customer accounts through a combination of cold calling and following up on referrals and other warm leads.
  • Maximize lead generation by participating in trade shows, conferences, networking events and other lead generating events.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure acceptable activity levels and results as well as attend weekly sales meetings to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Stay up to date with various campaign options and features available and leverage this knowledge to benefit our clients.
  • Effectively manage lead conversion and client accounts using a CRM platform and other software programs.

Experience and Education

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in account management, inside or outside sales, is required.
  • A valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle is required.
  • Experience using a CRM platform and Microsoft Office considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in marketing, sales and/or advertising is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in making warm and cold calls with a successful closing ratio.
  • Proven ability to meet sales goals with demonstrated soft closing skills.
  • Proven track record of growing client accounts and achieving revenue targets.

  • Highly proficient in using computers and software, including MS Office and 365 platform, and can quickly adapt to new or custom software.
  • Passion for supporting small businesses and non-profit organizations.

Salary: $42,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
