WHAT’S THE JOB?

With over 25 years of experience in the remote camp business, Horizon North is a leader in remote camp catering. Many of our applicants have been referred by existing employees who recommended Horizon North to their friends and colleagues.

As a remote Baker, reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for a full bake including breads, rolls, pastries and some special dietary needs of our clients. This is a rotational position working 14 days on, 14 days off in a remote camp site.

Your work will include:

  • Production of fresh breads, pizza dough, pastries, pies, cakes, muffins, and other pastries
  • Planning and developing dessert offerings
  • Produce fresh dessert offerings per day
  • Produce a selection of fresh breakfast pastries
  • Working with Chef and Camp Manager to ensure clients needs are met

Qualifications


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Applicants must have a current Food Safe certificate.
  • Level 1 First Aid certificate is an asset.
  • Large scale camp baking experience required.
  • Red Seal or other certification is an asset.
  • Experience in accurately producing weekly inventories.
  • High standards in maintaining a clean and organized Kitchen.
