Pravada Floors Inc., based out of South Surrey, British Columbia, is a leading North American wood flooring manufacturer. Our stylish and popular wood flooring products are a preferred choice for designers, architects, and builders. We are a fast-expanding business with a passion for growing our company with like-minded and equally passionate individuals.
We are currently seeking a permanent full-time, highly motivated, and experienced bookkeeper to carry out full-cycle bookkeeping. Candidate must have experience and knowledge with QuickBooks On-Line and be familiar with A/R, A/P, Multi-Currency, Payroll, and Taxes (PST, GST, Payroll Remittance, WorkSafe) and all other aspects of maintaining company books.
Duties and Responsibilities:·
  • Maintain accounts and books for various incorporations within the group via computerized bookkeeping software.
  • Update and maintain accurate journal entries, bank reconciliations, general ledgers, and financial statements regularly.
  • Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
  • Bank deposits and processing cheques and account payments.
  • Responsible for all general accounting and associated administrative duties.
  • Prepare financial reports and accounting reports for the external accountant.
  • Verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Track & manage payables and receivables.
  • Responsible for semi-monthly employee payroll
  • Process payroll and file GST returns and annual T4, T5, and other government remittances by the deadline.

Skills and Requirements:
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent working knowledge with QuickBooks is a must.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports with sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and multi-task in a business environment.
  • Experience using corporate accounting systems – Business Vision / Spire experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention-to-detail and strong organizational skills.
