INTRODUCTION

We are looking for a detail-oriented Drupal Developer to join the Digital Convergence team, a dynamic consulting firm that provides sustainable technology solutions focused on unlocking customers and enabling employees.The Drupal Developer role is an essential part of our team and is responsible for the front-end and back-end development and theming. This position will work with our development team to analyze, implement, and support a complete, custom Drupal website and web application environment with associated integrated systems and database applications. This position will be full-stack (front-end and back-end) and will assist with quality assurance as needed. The Drupal Developer will primarily support Drupal modernization, maintenance, and redesign projects (including internal tool builds).


This position is open to local and/or remote work-from-home in Canada.


ROLE SPECIFICS


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Drupal Developer role is responsible for, but not limited to: Installation, configuration, and administration of Drupal and associated modules.
  • Drupal server configuration, tuning, and monitoring.
  • Custom development to support advanced or unique functionality.
  • Design and implementation of integration architecture.
  • Complex integration utilizing APIs, Views, and other methods.
  • Theming for a branded look and feel supporting accessibility and responsive design.
  • Database administration, optimization, querying, and data transfer.
  • Testing, validation, launch, and support activities.
  • Contribute to UI/UX decisions and design.
  • Collect and analyze user requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into functional/technical specifications.
  • Follow industry and department best practices and policies for development work.
  • Effectively utilize issue tracking systems.
  • Research and evaluate new and emerging technology associated with the CMS.
  • Work collaboratively with other delivery teams across the enterprise.

RESULTS

  • Handle all requests from team leads, project managers and or clients in a timely manner.
  • Keep project scope and plan on task, on time, and up-to-date with all information
  • Be a part of the team to deliver a solid and strategic solution to the end client

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 years experience with Drupal 8+. Only applicants who meet this requirement will be considered.
  • Proven ability in custom module development.
  • Experience integrating with various 3rd party APIs.
  • Knowledge of PHP and PHP frameworks and applications including WordPress, Drupal, Symfony, and Laravel.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS (w/ preprocessing), JavaScript, Typescript, Bootstrap.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Time management, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable critical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in an unstructured, fast-moving and constantly evolving high-growth environment.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands.
  • Ability to execute assigned project tasks within established schedule.
