Position Scope

BFI is looking for Ground Workers to join our Syncrude MLX Bridge Project in Fort McMurray, AB:

Site: Syncrude Mildred Lake

Project: MLX Bridge

Hourly Rate: $28.77

Shift schedule: 7 days, 7 nights, 7 off

Accomodations: Not provided

Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site daily

Experience Required: Oilsands experience preferred but not required

Additional Comments:

• Successful candidates will be required to join the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 955
• Benefits and pension are provided through Local 955

All sucessful candidates MUST provide the following items prior to confirmation of their start date:

• CSTS-09 or CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• Wildlife/Bear Awareness
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO)
• Ground Disturbance 101 (Level 1)
• Valid class 5 Driver's License
• Drivers abstract - must be a minimum of 3 years and within 30 days
• Other certification may be required based on site requirements

Successful candidates must:

• Be proficient in English, both verbally and written
• Undergo and successfully pass the following testing:
  • Breath Alcohol Test
  • Urine Drug Test
  • 50lb Fit for Work Test
  • Vision Test

Shift, site, and start times are subject to change.
