Weaver Technical Corp. is a leading civil-environmental engineering consultancy in the design and construction of large-scale wastewater treatment systems, industrial land development and waste management facilities in British Columbia. Built on a foundation of safety, innovation, and quality, we provide turn-key solutions to our industrial and municipal clients.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with expertise in design and construction of municipal infrastructure and/or wastewater treatment facilities. The successful candidate will a licensed and practicing engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering in Canada with a strong focus on stormwater management and sewerage systems. They will be responsible for leading and managing multidisciplinary civil engineering projects from start to finish.

The ideal person for this role is self-driven, engaged, and interested in leading and growing our engineering and construction team. Working alongside our business leadership team, growth opportunities for someone in this role include moving into a management position and the potential for business partnership or profit-sharing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of multidisciplinary civil engineering projects

· Perform site investigations, field surveys, and prepare reports.

· Provide technical support to project teams and clients

· Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards

· Prepare proposals, estimates, and project schedules

· Manage project budgets and timelines

· Prepare construction bid documents

· Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a related field) from a recognized post-secondary institution

· Professional Engineering (P. Eng.) Designation – Registered and in Good Standing with Engineers and Geoscientists BC or eligible for transfer of registration from another Canadian province.

· 5+ years civil engineering related job experience within North America

· Strong technical skills in civil engineering design, construction, and project management

· Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards.

· Valid driver’s license in Canada with a clean driver’s abstract (non-negotiable) and access to a vehicle

Other desired skills and competencies include:

· Experience with design and construction of multidisciplinary projects such as land development, municipal infrastructure, lagoons, lift stations, and wastewater treatment facilities

· Familiar with CAD and modelling software such as InfoWater, EPA SWMM, ArcGIS and AutoCAD

· Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

· Superior and demonstrated verbal and written English communication skills

· Self-driven time management and organizational skills

· Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management

· Ability to work and thrive in a team environment

· Dedication to safety

· Positive attitude and ability to self-motivate and work productively with minimal supervision.

· Previous experience managing projects and multi-disciplinary project teams

· Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
